Privacy Policy

Arithlio is a children’s math-learning app designed to help children practice and understand foundational math skills. We take children’s privacy seriously and are committed to collecting as little information as possible.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Arithlio collects, how it is used, and the choices available to parents and guardians.

1. Information We Collect

Arithlio does not require children to create an online account.

Parents may create child profiles inside the app using:

​

  • A first name or nickname

  • Grade level

  • An optional avatar

​

Arithlio also stores learning information for each child profile, such as:

​

  • Math progress

  • Skill mastery

  • Practice history

  • Weak areas

  • Rewards and badges

  • Grade-level progress

  • Narration preferences

This information is used only to personalize the child’s learning experience.

Option A — if progress stays only on the device:
Child profile and learning-progress information is stored locally on the device and is not transmitted to Arithlio servers.

Option B — if Emergent/backend/cloud stores any of it:
Some profile and learning-progress information may be stored securely through our service providers so the app can provide its features.

2. Purchases

Arithlio offers an optional one-time purchase called Arithlio Pro.

Purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Arithlio does not receive or store credit-card or payment-card information.

We use RevenueCat to help manage purchase status and determine whether Arithlio Pro has been unlocked.

RevenueCat may process technical purchase information, app identifiers, device-related identifiers, and transaction information necessary to provide purchase and entitlement services.

RevenueCat’s privacy practices are described in its own privacy policy.

3. Information We Do Not Collect for Advertising

Arithlio:

  • Does not display third-party advertising

  • Does not use behavioral or targeted advertising

  • Does not sell personal information

  • Does not use children’s information for marketing

  • Does not allow children to publicly post information

  • Does not include chat, messaging, or social networking

4. Children’s Privacy

Arithlio is designed for children, including children under the age of 13.

We limit collection to information needed to provide the app’s educational features and purchase functionality.

​

We do not knowingly ask children to provide an email address, phone number, home address, precise location, photographs, contacts, or other unnecessary personal information.

​

Parents and guardians control child profiles through the Parent Area of the app.

5. Parent and Guardian Choices

Parents and guardians may:

​

  • Review child profile information in the app

  • Edit a child’s name, grade level, or avatar

  • Delete a child profile

  • Stop further use of the app at any time

  • Contact us with privacy questions or requests

​

Deleting a child profile removes the associated locally stored learning progress from the app, subject to any technical backup or retention requirements described below.

6. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Arithlio’s features, support purchases, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security.

Child profile and learning data stored locally on the device remains until the profile is deleted, the app’s data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled, depending on the device and operating-system behavior.

​

Purchase records may be retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat according to their own legal and operational requirements.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

Arithlio may use service providers that help operate the app.

​

These may include:

​

  • Apple App Store — for iOS app distribution and purchases

  • Google Play — for Android app distribution and purchases

  • RevenueCat — for purchase verification, entitlement management, and Restore Purchases

We require service providers used by Arithlio to handle information only for legitimate operational purposes and to protect that information appropriately.

8. Device and Technical Information

Arithlio and its service providers may receive limited technical information needed to operate, secure, diagnose, or process purchases in the app.

This can include items such as:

  • Device or app identifiers

  • App version

  • Operating system

  • Purchase and entitlement status

  • Diagnostic or crash information, if enabled

​

Arithlio does not use this information to build advertising profiles of children.

9. Location

Arithlio does not request or collect precise location information.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled through Arithlio.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Family Sharing

Arithlio Pro may support eligible Apple Family Sharing purchases.

​

Sharing an Arithlio Pro purchase does not merge child profiles or learning progress between devices. Each device may maintain its own child profiles and progress unless Arithlio introduces an optional synchronization feature in the future.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

​

If we make a material change to how children’s personal information is collected, used, or shared, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain parental consent when required by law.

​

The “Effective Date” at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
